The frenzy unfolded between India and Pakistan in the wake of the recent events has led to a variety of voices emerging on either sides of the border –some pacifying while some boosting aggression.Lauded Pakistani star Mahira Khan came forth as a sane voice from the country, singing praises for Prime Minister Imran Khan for his restrained and peacemaking response in the time of escalating border tensions.Turning to Instagram the actor stated: “Proud of the words spoken by my PM Imran Khan. Thank you for countering war hysteria with sensibility. We stand united behind you! Let us not lose more children of our countries, on either side. Hoping and praying for peace. Pakistan Zindabad”.Earlier, the actor had also expressed her anti-war views, calling out those from both sides who were rooting for war.“Nothing uglier. Nothing more ignorant than cheering for war. May sense prevail.. Pakistan zindabad,” she tweeted.
