SWABI: Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani said on Sunday that the entire nation and political parties were behind armed forces to foil the Indian aggressive designs.He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of "Deputy Commissioner Sports Gala" at the newly-constructed Sports Stadium. Sports and district administration officials, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders and players of different games attended the ceremony.The event organisers said that a total of 13 games would be played during the gala. Up to 2,000 players belonging to different areas of the district would display skills. Sanjrani said that in the prevailing situation of Indian threats, the government, opposition parties and the entire nation backed the armed forces.He said the Indian government was trying to defame Pakistan in the world comity but it would never succeed. Sanjrani warned that if the war was imposed on Pakistan, the nation had the capability to inflict a heavy loss on the enemy.He announced Rs10 million for the further development and provision of facilities to the players in the stadium. The Senate chairman planted a sapling in the stadium to inaugurate the plantation campaign in the district.National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser said that the best option for the Indian leaders was to give up hegemonic designs against Pakistan and sit across the table with Pakistani leadership to resolve all outstanding issues, including Kashmir. Asad announced Rs50,000 for Ahmad Khan who played in the under-19 cricket team. He also announced Rs50,000 each for gymnastics and the PT teams.
