PESHAWAR: Dr Abdul Jannan Orakzai, a tribal elder from Orakzai, met Corps Commander Lt Gen Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood and discussed issues concerning the erstwhile Fata following its merger with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.Dr Jannan Orakzai, who is working as a general surgeon at the Khyber Teaching Hospital in Peshawar, said after the meeting that the issue of resettlement of displaced tribespeople who have been repatriated to their native areas was also discussed. He said the tribal people had lot of respect for the military officers such as Lt Gen Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood who care about the recently repatriated persons who had suffered due to displacement and are now trying to rebuild their lives.Dr Jannan Orakzai said the Corps Commander Peshawar was taking interest in the restoration of durable peace and promoting development activities in the merged tribal districts.
