115 new land record centres to be established

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Revenue Col (R) Malik Muhammad Anwar said in view of growing needs of farming and business community, more than 115 new land record centres were being set up across the province in order to ensure prompt service delivery of the department.The minister stated this while talking to a delegation coming from different areas of the province. He said under the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, surprise raids across the province were being conducted to monitor the performance of revenue department and no laxity would be tolerated in this regard.Anwar directed the senior revenue officers to pay special attention in improving services being rendered at land record centres, land record management system and achieving the recovery targets of the government dues. He asked the revenue officers to ensure placement of complaint boxes at all land record centres and take strict action against responsible ones in light of complaints received from complainants.
