MANSEHRA: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is going to launch work on seven megawatts Barando hydropower project in Torghar soon, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader said on Thursday."Prime Minister Imran Khan will soon inaugurate work on Barando dam," Zargul Khan, the divisional president of PTI in Hazara, told reporters here. He said that tendering process was recently completed for Rs6 billion small hydropower project being built at Barando River."I have attended a high-level meeting held in Peshawar where it was decided that soon work on the dam would be launched," he said. Meanwhile, the Tehsil Nazim Mansehra Umar Farooq has said cleanliness issue in four urban union councils would soon be addressed."Currently, we don't have space for garbage dumping ground but soon this issue would be addressed as we have begun process to acquire land for it," Farooq told a local government representatives at a meeting held here on Thursday.
