GUJRANWALA: The Anti-Corruption Establishment recovered Rs5 million dues from the owner of a housing society here on Wednesday. ACE Regional Director Sheikh Farid said that scores of residents of Qasim Town gave applications to the ACE that the society’s owner sold the plots without proper approval from the government departments including GDA, Gepco and Sui gas which caused huge loss to the government exchequer. During the investigation, society’s owner Malik Haroon not only deposited Rs5 million into the government treasury but also wrote an affidavit that he shall not sale the plots till approval from the government departments.
