ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started development work in its stalled sectors - Park Enclave and E-12. People had purchased plots in E-12 in 1986 and neither possession nor development had been initiated. Similarly, Park Enclave was also a story of long delays. The CDA has started taking over possession in E-12 and Park Enclave. The current strategy of the CDA is to secure possession of area to be developed through enforcement as well as engineering wing and once the road network is marked, bring in the contractor for full-scale development. The view of the CDA is that this new process of preliminary development work will eliminate contractual litigation that are associated with land acquisition complications and contractors. The PTI government has already announced to appoint Chief Commissioner Islamabad Amir Ahmad Ali as CDA chairman.
