KARACHI: Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, SVP FPCCI, held a meeting with the Consul General of China H.E. Wang Yu and Economic and Commercial Counselor Guo Chunshui and requested them to start issuing visas from Karachi.Accompanied by FPCCI Vice Presidents Noor Ahmed Khan, Arshad Jamal amd Muslim Mohammedi, Dr. Baig appraised the Consul General regarding the problems faced by businessmen in getting Chinese visas from Islamabad. The Consul General informed Baig and the delegation that the Chinese Consulate General, Karachi would begin issuing visas from Karachi by the next month, and Gerry is in the process to establish a visa online network with the Chinese Consulate General, Karachi.Baig also appraised Consul General H.E. Wang Yuu regarding FPCCI meeting with Chinese business delegation in Islamabad led by Deputy Chairman Senate. The Consul General also discussed the establishment of industries in the Special Economic Zones being relocated from China. He also asked the consul general to include some fishery products for export to China which are not in their approved list.
