MULTAN: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested five accused involved in making transactions through Hundi and Hawala. A special team of the FIA led by Commercial Bank Circle’s senior officer Chaudhry Ijaz raided different locations and arrested four accused involved in making transactions through illegal Hawala and Hundi. The accused were identified as Saleem Nawaz, Ajmal, Sarfraz and Abdul Rehman. The FIA officials recovered foreign currency and the transaction record from the accused.The FIA registered cases against the arrested accused. In another on March 23, the Commercial Banking Circle of the FIA arrested an accused from Karachi’s Manghopir area who was involved in Hawala and Hundi business. The arrested accused was running a Hundi business. The FIA also recovered receipts of Rs 10.25 million, several cheques, including Benami accounts transactions, from his possession.
