BARA: A free-medical camp was held in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber tribal district on Friday. On the directive of Deputy Commissioner Mahmood Aslam Wazir, the district surgeon Dr Ayub Afridi held a free camp for treatment of leishmania at Jamrud hospital. More than 357 leishmania patients were provided free injections and medicines. Later, the deputy commissioner told reporters that the Khyber administration organised the free medical camp on the request of people. "Hundreds of people in Khyber suffer from the disease," he said, adding that the administration would set up free medical camps in other areas for leishmania cases too. The camp was supervised by Assistant Deputy Commissioner, Jamrud, Salim Jan Marwat.
