LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Taimoor Khan Bhatti called on Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and briefed him on the performance of his departments.The chief minister said youths were an asset to the country and the PTI government was working on a comprehensive strategy for their welfare. He said youths would take the country forward. “We will make our youths empowered in real terms and impart them skills as per the market needs,” he added. He said the promotion of sports was necessary for a healthy society. The Punjab government is taking effective measures for the promotion of sports. He said sports played a prominent role in highlighting the soft image of a country at the international level. The government would provide modern sports facilities to youths under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the chief minister said.LoC: Usman Buzdar has condemned the unprovoked firing by the Indian forces on the civilian population along the Line of Control (LoC). The CM paid tribute to the two soldiers of Pakistan Army who were martyred in the Indian firing. He offered condolences to the bereaved families. He said, “Those who sacrificed their lives for the defence of the motherland are our real heroes.” The CM prayed for early recovery of the injured in the Indian firing. He said Pakistan Army was alert to defend the motherland and the whole nation stood firmly with the brave army.
