Ice factory gas leak victim dies

TOBA TEK SINGH: An 85-year-old woman, who fell unconscious on March 6 because of the leakage of ammonia gas from an ice factory, died in hospital on Thursday. Taleha Bibi of Kamalia fell unconscious when the gas of an ice factory affected her. She remained at the Kamalia THQ hospital. The Kamalia city police had arrested ice factory owner Muhammad Hussain and booked him under sections 285, 286, 337 J and 324 of PPC. Assistant Commissioner (AC) Rao Tasleem Akhtar had sealed the factory and also wasted more than 600 litre chilled milk that was stored there.
