PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Thursday ordered the completion of Rapid Bus Transit and vowed action if the timeline was not followed. He was presiding over a meeting on the BRT and City Management Plan for Peshawar at his office, said an official handout.Minister for Local Government Shahram Khan Tarakai, Chief Secretary Saleem Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Shehzad Banagash, Peshawar Commissioner Shahab Ali Shah and others attended the meeting. The participants were given a detailed presentation on the traffic management, the progress on BRT, the traffic management and the City Management Plan. Different proposal came up for discussion and the chief minister directed to give them practical shape.He underlined the importance of the BRT, adding the project should see the light of the day as per commitment by the executing agencies. He warned against any delay in this regard. He directed to prepare a comprehensive City Management Plan for the beautification of Peshawar that should have a solution to all traffic congestion, provision of social services.
