ISLAMABAD: The audit officials of the Department of Auditor General of Pakistan told the Subcommittee of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) that there were irregularities in the contract of Mohmand Dam and delay in commencement of its work.The PAC Subcommittee took a notice of irregularities and delay in commencement of work on the Mohmand Dam and summoned the Wapda chairman and secretary Power Division in next meeting.The Subcommittee was held with the chair of its Convener, Syed Naveed Qamar, in which the audit para related to the Power Division of Ministry of Energy for the year 2017-18 were examined.While the briefing on the Mohmand Dam was in progress, the meeting of the Subcommittee was adjourned in half way due to parliamentary meeting of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, which was to be chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
