LAHORE: Pakistan Kisan Movement meeting chaired by its president Hanif Gujjar was held Wednesday. A large number of farmers attended the meeting and praised the role of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.Hanif Gujjar during the meeting said due to efforts of chief minister subsidy on sugar export enhanced that was given by the federal government. He said subsidy on sugar export price increased from Rs180 to Rs230 per 40 kg which made the sugarcane growers prosper.The participants said if Shahbaz Sharif in his tenure had given subsidy on sugar export, the country would have earned foreign exchange in billions of rupees and growers would have received good price of their crop. The growers appreciated the policies of the PTI-led government.
