SUKKUR: The people from various walks of life in several cities of Sindh including Khairpur, Sukkur, Shikarpur, Hyderabad, Nausharferoz, Ghotki, Larkana, Umerkot, Mithi, Thar, Mirpurkhas, Kashmore, Sanghar and others took out rallies in support of the armed forces of Pakistan and for their valiant defence of the country, while condemning the Indian violation of the Line of Control. The rallies represented a cross section of people including the civil society, journalists, social activists, students, political activists, workers of religious parties, scouts, minority communities, Anjuman-e-Tajran, police, staff of the deputy commissioners and, divisional commissioners holding banners and raising slogans in favour of the armed forces.Addressing the rallies, the speakers strongly criticized the Indian aggression, terming it sheer cowardice and offered glowing tributes to the armed forces, especially the PAF, for its valiant action to repulse the Indian Air Force attack.Strongly condemning the violation of the Line of Control by Indian forces and the war mongering attitude of the Indian political leadership, they said the Indian prime minister wants to subvert the regional peace for his electoral gains. They warned India to avoid any further aggression or be prepared to receive a bloody nose. To express solidarity with the armed forces, a rally was also taken out from the Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur comprising large number of students, faculty members, staff and the vice chancellor, Prof. Dr. Parveen Shah.
