SUKKUR: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah strongly criticised the National Accountability Bureau for targeting PPP parliamentarians, especially in the recent episode, when some plain-clothed armed personnel allegedly from NAB, stopped and threatened Jam Khan Shoro on his way to back home despite his pre-arrest bail.Talking to the media persons at Tando Mohammad Khan on Saturday, the Sindh chief minister said the situation has become alarming after a retired brigadier who was being probed by NAB, committed suicide due to harassment. Replying to a question over transferring the money laundering case to Islamabad, Murad Ali Shah said it is amazing that the crime was committed in Sindh and is being prosecuted in Rawalpindi. He said his party does not have good memories of Rawalpindi as the PPP’s leaders Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was executed and Benazir Bhutto was assassinated there. Shah strongly condemned the NAB and said it is seemingly carrying out a crackdown against the PPP lawmakers and is treating them like terrorists. He also commented on the arrest of the Speaker of Sindh Assembly and termed it against the law.Murad Ali Shah said the Prime Minister has announced three per cent share to FATA from NFC but has no interest in Sindh as Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Karachi twice but did not release the Sindh's share of NFC amounting to Rs.116 billion needed for the development of the province. He said he has presented the Sindh's case regarding disbursement of its NFC share to the PM on various occasions but despite that they have not received it. The CM said the prime minister visited Thar without informing him and announced ‘Thar Package,’ but the people are still waiting for the package.
