Thunderstorms over hills forecast

LAHORE: Met officials said that continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A fresh westerly wave is likely to affect western central and upper parts of the country on Thursday (today) and Friday (tomorrow). They predicted that partly cloudy weather conditions are expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at scattered places in Quetta, Zhob, Kalat Divisions while at isolated places in DG Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, Sahiwal, DI Khan, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Kohat, Makran, Larkana, Sukkur divisions and Islamabad. Rainfall was recorded at Kakul, Chirat and Murree only. Wednesday’s minimum temperature was recorded at Kalam where mercury dropped down to -07°C while in Lahore it was 10.4°C and maximum was 25°C.
