MALAKWAL: Two dacoits were killed in an encounter at Kot Nabi Shah in the limits of Phalia Police on Thursday. Rizwan Abbas of Hafizabad was going to Kot Nabi Shah to meet his relatives when four dacoits snatched cash and motorcycle from him. In the meantime, Rizwan offered resistance to them. It infuriated the dacoits and they shot at and injured him.Meanwhile, Rizwan phoned his relative, who along with villagers reached the spot. Seeing the villagers, the dacoits hid in the fields. In the meantime, a police party also reached the site. Seeing the police, the dacoits opened fire on them. The police also retaliated. As a result, two dacoits were killed while two others managed to escape. A villager was also injured by the firing of dacoits. The injured villager was shifted to the Phalia THQ Hospital. The killed dacoits could not be identified so far.
