SUKKUR: A delegation of the US Consulate, Karachi, visited the Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. The delegation led by John Winstead, Political Unit Chief, and Ms. Jean Foster Economic Officer met the faculty and students at the Syndicate Hall of the University. Professor Meritorious Dr. Yousuf Khushk, Pro-Vice Chancellor welcomed the delegates at the University, along with Dean, Social Sciences Prof. Dr.Imdad Hussain Sahito and Sarfaraz Ali Korejo, Director SAFE.The visitors interacted with the students and the academic staff of the Social Science faculty and exchanged ideas about students exchange programmes and the faculty-to-faculty cooperation between the universities of the two countries.In his address, the Pro-Vice Chancellor highlighted the importance of education, linkage programmes and requested the visiting delegates to help establish an English Language Lab, GRE and TOEFL preparation centres at the university through USAID and USEF. It was agreed to further expedite and expand the collaboration.
