LAHORE: Met officials said that a westerly wave is present along western parts of the country and likely to affect central & upper parts of the country in coming days. They predicted that dust-thunderstorm/rain with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu, DI Khan Divisions), Quetta, Zhob, Kalat Divisions while at isolated places in DG Khan, Multan, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi Divisions, Islamabad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.Rainfall was observed at several cities, including Garhi Dupatta 29mm, Rawalakot 20mm, Muzaffarabad 18, Kotli 06, Joharabad 21, Bhakkar 15, Islamabad (IIAP 13, Saidpur 09, Golra, ZP 08, Bokra 06), Murree 14,Chakwal 07, Rawalpindi (Chaklala, Shamsabad 06), Sargodha 04, Mangla, Jhelum, Noorpur Thal 03, Layyah 02, Lahore, Sahiwal, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Okara, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang 01, Balakot 20, Kalam 18, Mirkhani 16, Pattan 15, Dir (Upper 15, Lower 07), Kakul 14, Drosh 10, Peshawar, Chitral 05, Saidu Sharif, Malam Jabba 02, DI Khan 01, Zhob 04, Gupis 03, Astore and Bagrot 02.Wednesday's maximum temperature was reported at Mithi where mercury reached 44°C while in Lahore, it was 36.2°C and minimum was 20.2°C.
