PML-N leader flays govt for hike in POL prices

PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) provincial additional general secretary and spokesman Ikhtiar Wali has flayed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government for the increase in prices of petroleum products, terming it a grave injustice to the masses. In a statement here, he said though the prices of petroleum products had reduced at the international market, the government hiked the same without any justification.Demanding withdrawal of the increase, he said the rulers should control their luxurious expenditures instead of putting an extra burden on the poor masses. The prices of daily use commodities have increased manifold and the recent spike in oil prices will make life miserable for the poor, he added.Asad Umar should fulfil his commitment of giving petrol to the people at the rate of Rs40 per litre which he had promised during the election campaign, he added. The PML-N leader said people in the so-called Madina State were suffering due to price hike.
