LAHORE: Met officials said a westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country and likely to prevail in northern parts during next 12 hours. They predicted that mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country while cold in northern areas. However, rain/thunderstorm (snowfall over high mountains) is expected at isolated places in Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas.Rainfall was recorded at several cities, including Drosh, Chitral, Mirkhani, Kakul, Balakot, Dir, Kalam, Patan, Malam Jabba, Garhi Dupatta, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Kotli, Astore, Chilas, Bunji, Narowal, Sialkot, Mangla, Murree and Gujrat. Snowfall was also recorded at Kalam and Astore.Met officials said that on Wednesday minimum temperature was recorded at Kalam, Bagrote and Kalat where mercury dropped down to -02°C while in Lahore, it was 12.7°C and maximum was 22.5°C.
