MULTAN: Opposition parties at a public meeting have criticised the performance of the government and said it has failed to give any kind of relief to people. The public meeting was arranged by JUI-F at Chowk Manzoorabad in connection with plan ‘C’ of their Azadi March and the opposition parties, including Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz participated in it.They have demanded resignation from Prime Minister Imran Khan. Speaking on the occasion JUI-F Multan district ameer Ayazul Haq Qasmi and general secretary Qari Yasin said all segments of the society, including lawyers, traders and politicians, were on strike against the government.PML-N divisional president Sheikh Tariq Rashid said the government was unable to manage governance matters due to incompetence. All the traders were worried and closing down their businesses due to directionless government policies, he added.PPP City president Malik Nasim Labar regretted the situation of the farmers who were worried about the cotton and sugarcane crops, which were ready for harvesting but they were finding no buyer and good prices. Nasim said that the government had promised 5 million houses for the poor, but no step was taken yet to materialise the promise.
