JHANG: Police on Tuesday booked JUI-F and PML-N district office-bearers and workers for holding a rally and delivering speeches against the government. According to the FIRs registered by Kotwali police under sections 16 Maintenance of Public Order 1960 and the Punjab Sound System (Regulation ) Act 2015, JUI-F district general secretary Shahbaz Ahmed Gujjar, PML-N office-bearers AD Sandrana, Asif and others brought out a rally which passed through Nadra and Sessions House chowks and other city roads without permission of the district administration. The FIR stated that the participants of the rally later gathered outside the District Council secretariat and the nominated accused allegedly delivered speeches against the government. The police registered two FIRs against 15 unknown and five nominated JUI-F and PML-N workers. However, no arrest was made till the filing of this report.
