PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan said on Friday that the government was investing in the youth as per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and manifesto of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.A handout said he was speaking at a meeting where he was briefed on the 'Kamyab Jawan Programme' by Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Youth Affairs Usman Dar. The meeting was also attended by Senior Minister Muhammad Atif Khan, Minister Finance Taimur Saleem Jhagra, Advisor to CM on Merged Districts Ajmal Wazir, Principal Secretary to CM Shahab Ali Shah and others. Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Youth Affairs Usman Dar said that one million applications have been receivedfrom all over the country during the last five weeks.He added that the programme was expected to provide employment opportunities to the youth of the province by enabling them to initiate businesses. "It will not only generate revenue but will also promote entrepreneurship," he added. Dar said the use of digital portal has accelerated the process of applying whereas most of the applications in KP have been received from Peshawar followed by Swat.
