Pakistan Ulema Council‘World Peace Council to promote harmony’

LAHORE: “World Peace Council” will prove a milestone for promotion of interfaith dialogue and harmony in the world. Addressing a press conference here Tuesday after meeting of the representatives of different religious schools of thought, Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi underlined that World Peace Council would prove a milestone to contain rising Islamophobia in western world. He added that World Peace Council would be comprised of representatives of different religions schools of thought to promote interfaith dialogue and harmony. Leadership of different religious schools of thought while condemning desecration of Holy Quran in Norway stated that religious leadership from all over world was committed to contain extremism. The conference demanded the Norwegian government take the culprit to task. It announced that Azmat-e-Quran would be described in Friday congregations on 29th November all over Pakistan to glorify the dignity of Quran. The scholars in the meeting stated that world leadership had been demonstrating criminal silence on miseries of Kashmiris.
