ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Bar Council (PBC), the apex body of the legal fraternity, in view of the Supreme Court’s order on the issue of the extension of the COAS on Tuesday, withdrew its earlier call for observance of black day by the lawyers throughout the country tomorrow (Thursday).Syed Amjad Shah, Vice-Chairman, Pakistan Bar Council, while talking to The News appreciated the decision of the Supreme Court, saying the order reflects true spirit of the Constitution and well settled law as laid down by the Supreme Court and the stance of the Pakistan Bar Council and the legal fraternity in general.He assured his full support to the judiciary in its pursuits for upholding the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law in the national interest. Amjad Shah said that in view of the suspension of the decision of the federal government by the Supreme Court, he has withdrawn the call, earlier given by him as vice-chairman PBC for observance of black day by the lawyers throughout the country.
