Tents provided to Upper Dir primary school

DIR: The Government Primary School Katair in Doog Dara, a remote area of the Upper Dir district, was provided with two tents for classrooms to lessen burden of students at two existing rooms of the school.More than 300 students are enrolled in the school. However, it has only two classrooms. The school staff had informed Additional Assistant Commissioner Sheringal Muhammad Saqib Khan during his visit to the school that the two classrooms were overcrowded.The official was told that it was almost impossible for them to accommodate the 300 students in two classrooms when it rained. The school staff had requested the official to provide tents to establish makeshift classrooms for the students.The official had promised to provide tents to the school as a stopgap measure until the construction of more rooms. The school staff thanked the district administration for providing the tents, but reiterated the demand for the construction of more classrooms.
