LAHORE: Met officials said that a westerly wave is present over upper parts of the country and likely to persist during next 12 hours. They predicted that mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country while very cold in upper areas.They added that dense fog is likely to prevail in plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh. While light rain-thunderstorm (light snowfall over hills) with cloudy weather condition is expected at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.Rainfall was recorded at Faisalabad, Jhang, Sialkot, Gujrat and Gupis. Friday’s minimum temperature was recorded at Skardu, Gupis and Bagrote where mercury dropped down to -08°C while in Lahore, it was 5°C and maximum was 12.2°C.
