KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Dr Kaleem Imam on Tuesday took notice of a viral video showing unidentified persons resorting to aerial firing in front of the police near Sea View.The IGP Sindh sought a detailed report from Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) of the South Zone Sharjeel Kharal, ordered him to brief him about the so far developments into the case registered in this regard and warned that the miscreants would not be tolerated.The IGP Sindh took notice of the incident after a video went viral on the social media showing that a small number of people on different vehicles wearing Ajraks were intercepted by the police personnel on a police mobile van near Sea View within the limits of Sahil police station; however, the miscreants stopped their vehicles for a while and while abusing the police and shouting Jeay Sindh slogan, one of them resorted to indiscriminate aerial firing in front of the police, forcing the police to allow them to go. A case has been registered at the Sahil police station over the incident. No arrest has been made while further investigation was underway.The Sindhi Culture Day was celebrated with enthusiasm across the province as thousands of people dressed in the cultural attire poured onto the streets in dozens of rallies to mark the occasion on Sunday, December 1.
