ISLAMABAD: Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice Javed Iqbal has taken strict notice of firing incident at the vehicle of member JIT of fake accounts and NAB's prosecutor in Al-Azizia Steel Mill case Wasiq Malik and directed Director General NAB Rawalpindi to send report of the incident to Inspector General Islamabad and review why effective security measures had not been taken to protect Malik.Chairman directed DG Rawalpindi to take effective measures for the arrest of the culprits and no stone should be left unturned in this regard. The prosecutor survived the attack, however, his vehicle was damaged in the attack.NAB Rawalpindi and relevant police officers were reviewing the crime scene and evidence is also being collected so that the culprits should be punished. Chairman said such cowardly attacks could not frustrate the resolve of NAB officers as they are performing their national duties of eradicating corruption and such attacks will further strengthen the firm resolve of NAB officers to fight corruption.
