HARIPUR: The police claimed to have arrested a man and his son on charges of murder of a watchman in Changi Bandi area eight months.Station House Officer Sera-e-Saleh Police Station Sajid Farooq said the bullet-riddled body of Saifullah Khan, the watchman of Kaka Khan Market, was recovered from the backyard of a shop on March 3. On the complaint of the widow of the slain watchman, the police registered the case against unknown murderers.The SHO said the investigation team used modern gadgets and traced Khalid Khan, his son Tauseef Khan and their co-accused Muhammad Arshad and arrested them on Friday. The motive behind the murder was an old enmity, the SHO said, adding that an AK 47 rifle and two pistols were also recovered from their possession.Meanwhile, District Police Officer Dr Zahid Ullah Jan has assured the entrepreneurs of Hattar Industrial Estate and local traders to increase security measures.He was talking to a delegation of Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its Chairman HCCI Fakhre Alam Awan.
