PESHAWAR: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Friday approved 20 projects worth Rs8176.285 million and one project was deferred due to inadequate design.An official communiqué said Additional Chief Secretary Atif Rehman chaired the meeting, which was attended by members of PDWP, concerned departments and districts level officers of merged areas. The forum considered 21 projects about different sectors, including agriculture, home, Higher Education and Health, for the uplift of the province and merged areas.It approved 20 projects and one project was deferred due to inadequate design and was returned to its respective department for rectification. The approved projects included the accelerated implementation programme (AIP) and 10 Years Development Programme (TYDP) worth Rs945 million. The programme would help to bring the merged areas on a par with the rest of the province, said the statement.
